Yana is a Belgian semi-nomadic adventurer and foodie. Her passion for travel and sustainability led her to work in development aid and research on sustainable tourism across multiple continents.

After working as a journalist in Belgium for a few years, she’s launched her project EcoScapes in 2018. This project helps coaches and changemakers with research and logistics to set up retreats or trips in an eco-friendly way. Her mission is to enhance the impact of responsible tourism as a catalyst for sustainable development.

Currently exploring Europe, she previously lived in Nairobi, Kenya for a year. She hiked on Kilimanjaro via the Marangu Route up to Mandara Hut. It’s on her bucket list to reach the summit, but for now, she’s proud to share that she did reach the peak of Mount Kenya. Yana also saw the mountain gorillas in Uganda and went on multiple hikes and safaris all over East Africa.
