Start hiking along the Potanin Glacier early in the morning. Depending on the hiking phase, you will reach Mt. Malchin withing an hour. From there, you will start ascending to the peak (4.050m). Having to gain 783m in 2.5km, the trail to the peak is tricky but won't require climbing gear. Enjoy the view of majestic Altai mountain range from the Malchin peak. Alternatively, you can do less intensive trekking to the Mongolia and Russian border point near Mt. Malchin.
