Why should I check my passport expiry date?

To enter a country, your passport must generally remain valid for a minimum number of time after your trip. If your passport expires within 6 months of the end of your trip, make sure to double-check the entry requirements of the country you are visiting and that you meet those requirements. You might need to obtain a new passport if your current passport expires within 6 months of the end of your trip.
