Tour operators that are approved by Fair Trade Tourism have demonstrated their commitment to Fair Trade Tourism principles by actively promoting Fair Trade Tourism certified products and Fair Trade Holidays.
In order to be approved, they need to support Fair Trade Tourism’s principles and agree to package and promote holidays in which at least 50% of the bed nights or activities featured are spent at certified tourism establishments or those certified by a mutually recognised certification scheme in Africa.
