When an Accommodation has a rating, it typically means that it fulfils minimum criteria determined by a national tourism organization. There is currently still no globally recognized and unified hotel rating system, so 3, 4 or 5 star rated hotels do not necessarily meet the standards across countries.
When we show accommodation ratings at Fair Voyage, these are typically based on either the national rating system such as the Star Rated Enterprises published by the Kenya Tourism Regulatory Authority, or the ratings published by leading hotel booking platforms such as booking.com.
